Pointers on Internet Searches
1. To locate information quickly: use a
multi-search engine browser like: Dogpile
(http://www.dogpile.com), Metacrawler
(http://www.metacrawler.com), or google.com. They will search
30 browsers at once.
2. When using any search engine, the best and most effective method I have found is to enclose the words or phrase you are looking for with quotation marks " ". If you do not use quotation marks, your search engine will list every page in the world where one of your search terms appears. BE SPECIFIC! If you want to know about the history of ancient Greece, type "the history of ancient Greece" Your number of hits will be limited, but you will get precise hits!
